Terrific detailed analysis thank you very much!!! Question now is "What are we going to do about it?" I suggest we the people charge "commons rent" to those who claim ownership of land and natural resources and that then we the people decide (participatory budgeting) how the commons rent is distributed. The commons rent is collected with subsidiarity in mind (decentralist) and with commons rent domains spelled out from local to global levels.
