The system “upgrades” seem to be happening everywhere. My Credit Union had a system outage several months ago and explained the reason as “upgrading our systems to be compatible with new global accounting standards being implemented nationwide”. That cryptic language was almost certainly the new backbone to make ready for the digital currency/digital ID duopoly. All the banks will claim that they had to implement the new banking software just to stay in business, that if they did not do so they would have been forced to shut down. This will convert everyone’s accounts to digital/programmable money. There may or may not be a financial crisis that accompanies this. Then they will tell us that we have to get a digital ID to access our account and our money.

Certain businesses were styled essential during COVID, among them, beer retailers. The algorithm, but not the clerk apparently, "knows" I am of age and could allow the transaction regardless of card expiration. It could demand proof of vaxx or declare alcohol essential poison, therefore, safe and effective for certain white-haired undesirables.
The limits aren't as obvious as the bureaucratic possibilities.
