I think the whole issue boils down to something VERY, **VERY** simple:
Either people accept government or a worldly third party / "Gov-God" in the middle of all their transactions, or the don't. Money and conversations or more general any information exchange. Just like the original cypherpunks predicted some 20+ years ago, by the way.
And KYC and AML are "the mark of the beast lite". Nothing else.
And I think more and more that that is the only real battle to be fought. That, of course, will *now* lead to considerable, unavoidable upheaval and chaos. Because the masses ignored those who warned early.
But the alternative is the slow MAID-suffocation of our souls.
I think it is, pretty "digital": Either humanity fundamentally accepts that people ought to have privacy and all the "uncertainty" that comes with that, or they don't.
And if the masses don't accept that, then we surely are in the end times.
