CNN's Lethal Vaccine Dangers of 1996
Ah, 1996. It was a year filled with big changes and exciting events. Kofi Annan became the new boss at the United Nations1, while Prince Charles and Diana decided to go their separate ways2, and the dot-com bubble got started under Federal Reserve chairman, Alan Greenspan. And Germany won the Euro 1996 in the backyard of an otherwise well-playing English team, featuring the ever-controversial Paul Gascoigne in his prime.
It was however also the year when Clinton announced global surveillance3, the United Kingdom dealt with a bout of BSE4, ‘solved’ through culling - advice dished out by the Wellcome Centre at Oxford5, employing a very young Neil Ferguson6 who didn’t mind a good mass vaccination plan either7.
And the year also marked the last recorded incidence of actual journalism carried out by Ted Turner’s CNN, releasing the story 'LETHAL DANGERS OF THE BILLION-DOLLAR VACCINE BUSINESS WITH GOVERNMENT APPROVAL'8
I advice you to read the article in full, because in a more contemporary setting, it… well, suffice to say there’s about the same level of likelihood of this being released today, as me caring one iota about any of the many recent stories carried by CNN about Taylor Swift.
I tweeted this rogue instance of journalism clearly regretted to this day by CNN a few months back9. It was probably one of the very worst cases of the sudden silence algorithm I ever felt on Twitter, where said tweet went from plenty of traction to… none… in a split second. For a while, it traded at a 50:1 view:retweet ratio, which in my experience is very, very low, and it still sits just around a low 100:1 mark, given the 300+ retweets. Since then, I’ve replied with this link on a number of occasions, and those replies always fail to take off - not that this is a major deal. I just like to keep on top of what material goes missing in terms of reach, and this was a prime example.
Regardless, I’ve written a great deal on the European vaccine industry, paying particular attention to the European Scientific Working Group on Influenza.
And this article carried by CNN confirms that the Americans play to much the same script when it comes to money over safety.
The article starts off by reciting a few cases of harm rendered by the DPT shot, and doctors doing what they can to ignore the issue. But we also learn that ‘some batches of the vaccine cause more problems than others‘, which is interesting given contemporary Covid-19 batch controversies. And we also learn that deaths weren’t quite as rare as they claimed, and that the authorities were in no hurry to act on safety concerns.
And naturally, the primary, overriding motive is money. It always is.
‘A MONEY investigation of the booming vaccine industry… and of its federal regulatory agencies reveals severe violations of public trust…, MONEY found that health officials publicly downplay the lethal risks. In addition, medical experts with financial ties to vaccine manufacturers heavily influence government decisions that have endangered the health of immunized kids while enhancing the bottom line of drug companies‘
I know none of this is surprising to those paying attention. And neither is -
‘Although they are now making some small moves, the government and the drug industry have an appalling record of facing up to vaccine problems…
American pharmaceutical companies have known how to produce the safer DPT vaccine but decided not to bring it to market because it would increase production costs and lower the drug's 50% or higher profit margins…
The only cause of polio in the U.S. for the past 17 years has been the oral version of the vaccine itself…
The oral polio vaccine and the injected variety are commonly made using monkey tissues, which contain viruses that can be harmful to humans…
Federal regulators have stymied many efforts to investigate the impact of those monkey viruses but are now paying attention to particularly disturbing research by a Chicago molecular pathologist linking one to human cancer… a new Italian study suggests is being passed on sexually by people throughout the world, and from mothers to babies in the womb‘
… you didn’t truly expect anything else, did you?
It’s at this stage it’s probably worth a mention that contemporary minutes reveal exactly how horrifyingly corrupt ACIP meetings had become by then, proven by 1997 minutes, revealing a colossal roster of pharma employees at these pivotal meetings10. Beyond Nancy Cox, we see representatives from Connaught (now Sanofi11), Merck, Wyeth-Lederle (acquired by Pfizer in 200912), SmithKline Beecham (merged with Glaxo Wellcome in 200013), Biochem Vaccine (now GSK 14), Chiron (acquired by Novartis in 200615), Aviron (now part of AstraZeneca16), Pasteur Merieux (Sanofi17), and North American Vaccine (now part of Baxter18) - all attending said meetings.
The CNN articles goes on to cover the 1986 change in legislation to lower the legal liability of vaccine manufaturers19, how this in effect has lowered the quality of vaccines, and how damages are now offloaded onto the taxpayer while the revenue of vaccine manufacturers has soared.
And while Japan moved across to a safer vaccine, the United States refused on account of cost - disregarding the clear safety signals -
‘According to a 1977 Wyeth document, its scientists analyzed the Lilly formula and found that the purification process would yield 80% less of the component that fights pertussis than the whole-cell formula, which would result in "a very large increase in the cost of manufacture."‘
It really is, ultimately, all about the money.
And to underline that modern day concerns are nothing new -
‘Drug companies have paid a lot of money to people like James Cherry… in 1979, at a symposium, he said, "All physicians are aware that pertussis vaccine occasionally produces severe reactions and that these may be associated with permanent sequellae [complications caused by the vaccine] or even death." But by 1990, Cherry had changed his mind, proclaiming in the Journal of the American Medical Association that severe brain damage caused by pertussis vaccine was nothing but "a myth." From 1980 through 1988, Cherry got about $400,000 in unrestricted grants that he termed "gifts" from Lederle. From 1988 through 1993, he was given $146,000 by Lederle for pertussis research, and from 1986 through 1992, UCLA received $654,418 from Lederle for pertussis research. Additionally, drug manufacturers paid Cherry and UCLA $34,058 for his testimony as an expert witness in 15 DPT lawsuits brought against the companies‘
And to wrap up this section -
‘Minutes of a June 1995 CDC advisory committee meeting, at which members voted to delay recommending use of a safer polio vaccine, show that five of the nine members present had financial ties to vaccine manufacturers‘
Which of course is completely unsurprising, given the 1997 ACIP minutes linked.
We move onto the Polio vaccine, in which regard - ‘… since 1979 the only cases of polio in the U.S. have been caused by the oral vaccine itself--a total of 119 casualties from 1980 to 1994 alone in the name of federal public health policy… So why is the oral vaccine still in use in 98% of the 20 million annual polio vaccinations in the U.S.?… The answer is that it all comes down to money.‘
And to compound -
‘Wyeth-Lederle launched an intensive lobbying effort to hold on to its own $230 million oral polio vaccine business… Wyeth-Lederle's lobbying paid off. CDC director David Satcher announced in September that the agency would recommend two doses of injected vaccine followed by two doses of oral.‘
David Satcher20 - CDC director under Clinton - for the record contributed to the hugely controversial 2008 WHO Social Determinants of Health report, ‘Closing the Gap in a Generation’, co-authored with two members of the Collegium International21, recommending surveillance marxism22.
The CNN article again - strongly - links up with current settings in the next section -
‘The polio virus that is used in both Wyeth-Lederle's oral vaccine and Connaught's injected version is grown on monkeys' kidney tissue. "The danger in using monkey tissue to produce human vaccines," says Desrosier, "is that some viruses produced by monkeys may be transferred to humans in the vaccine‘
‘The danger is not hypothetical. In 1959, Ben Sweet, a 35-year-old scientist at Merck, the pharmaceutical giant, discovered that a previously undetected monkey virus called SV-40 had contaminated oral polio vaccines given to Americans for the prior five years. When testing revealed that SV-40 was a cancer-causing agent, producing tumors in hamsters, the FDA and manufacturers agreed that rhesus monkeys would no longer be used in vaccine production‘
There has been quite a lot of coverage of SV-40 lately23 in the context of Covid-19 vaccines, especially24. The link between tumours and SV40 is well established25.
‘Carbone's research shows that SV-40 switches off a protein that protects cells from becoming malignant… Now, in what could be a crucial piece of the puzzle, a study by Italian researchers published in October in the U.S. medical journal Cancer Research suggests that the reason all three cancers are on the rise is that the SV-40, originally introduced to humans through polio vaccine, is now being spread sexually and from mother to child in the womb. The study found SV-40 present in the blood and semen of 25% of healthy study subjects…‘
I’m not a lawyer, but that sounds downright criminal to me.
‘The FDA is equally dismissive of the potential dangers. Peter Patriarca, deputy director of the division of viral products at the FDA, says he sees no need to stop producing polio vaccines with monkey tissue‘.
Ah but of course he doesn’t. Incidentally, Peter Patriarca is also a name we’ve seen before. He - along with Nancy Cox - penned the 1997 US Pandemic Plan26, which - beyond surveillance and vaccination - as primary policy objectives outlined -
Criteria for declaring the pandemic must be defined
Policy must be integrated with other initiatives, such as adult vaccination in general
Vaccination of the entire US population is the assumption
A pneumococcal vaccination should be given equal priority
Extensive inputs from big pharma has been solicited + liability coverage
Expansion of the vaccination target population to 'non-traditional groups', such as healthy children and adults
Antivirals may not be a 'feasible strategy' due to potential side effects
… regardless of how shamelessly hypocritical that final bullet point may appear.
Finally, the article completes with a small section on policy objectives which should be carried out immediately (but which were naturally ignored wholesale) -
Ban dangerous products
Expand research
Out of 59 health problems suspected to be associated with a variety of vaccines, the committee found that no scientific studies had been conducted on 40 of themStop hiding facts
I sadly cannot say I was chocked by the details outlined in this article. But I was shocked to find said article posted by CNN. It’s almost shocking to see how hard they’ve worked, to destroy the reputation built up in the early 90’s.

The US Pandemic Plan, featuring Nancy Cox
In 1993, the Working Group on Influenza Pandemic Pareparedness and Emergency Response - GRIPPE - launched in the US. It was chaired by Nancy Cox, who left in 1996. And hold on to your hats, because the extraordinary coincidences are about to go ballistic.
Critical Choices for Americans
I never had much interest in 1970s politics. Never found it particularly exciting. How wrong I was. In 1973, Tricky Dick put together a working group titled the 'Commission on Critical Choices for Americans', tasked with establishing what would happen in the event of a rapid change brought upon the US, and what would be the outcome in terms of their globa…

Right as you think you’ve established a root, someone springs something upon you, which make you realise you’re not quite at roads end just yet. What a trip this has been. Yesterday, I tracked down the One Health approach back to the Department of Homeland Security under Michael Chertoff and 2005. But, within hours,
