I’d rather face an alien invasion.

I’m trying to think of which sci-fi movie or novel this mirrors. Maybe “We”

I guess a BB-Que and beer are out of the question. That was the most fun reading I have ever had and can't wait not to exist anymore. This cannot be allowed to happen ever or at least break into two separate societies, but alas the AI would never allow the dumb humans to exist without the help of the master.

This was one of the most tedious, repetitive, and mind-numbing articles that I have ever read. It must have been written by an AI system. I did a search for "ethic" and found that forms of that word are used more than one hundred times. If human existence is to become deterministic, then it would also be completely boring and pointless. It cannot and will not happen, no matter what the wishes of the accelerationists are. Humans are not automatons or cogs in a machine.

Perceived by *who*?

It’s already happening isn’t it? It’s just increasing in speed, precision and intensity. And based on a belief that we are not capable or worthy. So what do we do? That is the question, to be or not to be….

to a large extent, yes, it is. it's certainly moving in that direction. the game is to control, to master every granularity of science, until they believe themselves to be in a position to manipulate at the quantum level.

whether this sounds futuristic, crazy even, isn't so much the point. the point is that they are progressively realising a higher quality of analysis - and control. and that won't stop anytime soon, with global surveillance quickly accelerating all over the planet.

the way to stop it is through publicity. making people aware. but people are so distracted by what happened in the past that most refuse to speculate what's coming down the pipe. and that is probably the most difficult issue to combat in this regard.

I wish I could get them to delete mine. I had hardly ever used it which resulted in being a frequent target for spam hacking; I kept sending reports anytime I was actually there to see it. When I finally decided to log back in & see if things were any better, I found my account locked & useless for any actual interaction.

The men (mainly?) and women at the top of the proposed hierarchy should first remember the children in the cobalt fields of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

i can guarantee you that they do not care in the slightest.

You are correct. These people have the most horrible psychologies, and so much money and power that they can create the world in their image. That is why we have problems, not because of 'climate change' or population growth or 'pandemics' - but because they are ordering the world (or as much of it as they can) in their ghastly, greedy, ugly and megalomanic image.
