This is one for the ages, Escape Key.

Bravo.

This critical appraisal of Marxism, even almost two centuries after the fact, is in a league with very few rivals.

This article should be mandatory reading in all undergraduate economics programs. But of course it never will be ... too dangerous. Puts me in mind of the Roman church's longstanding prohibition of congregants reading the Bible in their native languages.

Anyone living check-to-check in the USA for most of their adult life thus far - will really appreciate this article. Since the majority of US taxpayers can't manage a $500 emergency (an 8 year old statistic)... and 95 million didn't file taxes in 2024, for whatever reason...

The conversion to M-C-M with all wealth and decisionmaking concentrating in the technocrats managing the interest-based financial system and it's enforcement arms... is well on it's way.

What a waster that shyster Marx was...couldn't even look after his own family.

It is devastating to read this article, and the only hope we have is simply that nobody seems to understand that AI can never be relied upon, not even by those who have implemented it and certainly not by those who are using it. AI carries its own downfall, just as I read today about the AI system that destroyed unknowingly the total customers' data. See Gary Marcus. Also, people depending on AI are stupid at the outset and one in a future, smart people will see that liberating people will be to accept their autonomy, and that this system is dangerous even to themselves. Depending on the delusion of carbon, sustainability and ESG will have to give way. For society needs creativity and does not understand that this system destroys all creativity.

the AI train won't be stopped - there are so many uses for it. Yes, there are problems with it but that was the same for every new technology. AI is incredible and will get better with time to make people more productive. At the same time, we need more people to wake up to the fact that oligarchs are trying to make us slaves to them and they are going to use digital ID and digital currency combined with using AI to find the troublemakers and cancel their money (either some or all of their money).

the writing seems like Esc used AI to write this article. good information, for sure, but the writing kind of reeks of AI

I forgot. A movie that illustrates this really well, is "In Time" with Justin Timberlake. It's just brutal on the economic front.

And in the more recent movie "Eddington," there's a scene where the characters are sitting in a restaurant talking about what happens to 'the little guy' and how folks at that level are treated VERY badly. I keep meaning to go back and find out what time that scene shows up :)).

I’ve read a lot of libertarian literature but nothing explains the true purpose of marxism like this piece. Congratulations 👏

This alienation stems from the power of money (in all its forms). Its sacred nature acts as a monopolizing force. Yet money is merely a means and has no intrinsic value; we ascribe to it a value that traps us in logics of material necessity and consumption, guaranteeing a false freedom of economic dependence, driven by a productivist logic.

This is the biggest scam in the system.

The core belief of MBA managerialism, right there. And real-world experience has taught us that it’s destructive bullshit.

“A factory, a government, an ecosystem, a financial system — they all exhibit the same organisational dynamics. Understand how one works and you can apply the same analytical framework to any other”
